Advice for the first week of school
Pack your workout stuff in your bag the night before. The first day of school is crazy enough without the hassle of forgetting your running stuff.
If possible, bring a healthy snack or two to consume during nutrition. You can also nibble on it throughout the day. We have had good experiences with various granola bars such as Cliff or TigerMilk.
Bring at least two bottles of water to school. You will need to hydrate throughout the day and still have a bottle for workout.
Eat both a good breakfast AND lunch. Trying to practice in this heat without proper fuel in your tank is asking for major trouble. The newbies might want to bring a sack lunch for the first few days while they learn how the school works.
